Tulsi Licorice Spice Date & Coconut Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 1 cup dessicated coconut (try for the organic one minus the sulphites)
- 1 tablespoon of ghee (or coconut oil)
- Contents of 3 – 4 Tulsi Licorice Spice teabags
Method:
Finely chop the dates. Put them into a mixing bowl and soak them in boiled water for about 30 seconds, then drain. Allow it to cool for a minute. Add the coconut and ghee and as you gently knead into a ‘dough’. Sprinkle through the Tulsi Licorice Spice from the emptied tea bags and combine it throughout.
Roll the ‘dough’ into small balls about the size of a walnut. Then, roll each ball into some of the dessicated coconut and put them in your favourite bowl.
Put your balls into the fridge to firm up. You will then have a super sweet, guilt-free snack that goes perfectly with your cup of afternoon tea!
Makes about 16 balls.
Happy eating!
